The counseling department works with students in a number of different ways. We are available to offer support for academic, career, social/emotional, and personal issues. We offer individual and small group counseling, as well as helping students if they are experiencing problems with schoolwork or peers. We also teach college and career readiness lessons to help students be prepared for high school and beyond.

School Counselors can help with:

  • Help understand feelings
  • Help develop coping skills
  • Support in conflict resolution
  • Help socialize and make friends
  • Recognize strengths
  • Keep students safe and healthy
  • Education and career planning
  • Course selection and 4-year planning for high school
  • Help accessing food, clothes, school supplies, and community resources

We look forward to getting to know you and working with you this year!
