Talking Points Two Way Communication
Two-Way Messaging System
Many San Juan Unified schools and teachers now use TalkingPoints, a two-way messaging system, to stay in touch with parents/guardians.
TalkingPoints is an easy and safe way families can communicate in their home languages with their child’s teachers for free. We will be using this platform to communicate with you about your child’s education and progress.
Families have three easy ways to use TalkingPoints to communicate with their children’s teachers. They can:
-
Use text messaging directly to the phone number that is registered in our student information system
-
Download the mobile app - TalkingPoints for Families (Apple Store or Google Play)
- Or use it on the web at TalkingPoints for Families
Families can communicate with teachers in more than 140 languages and will receive messages in the language they have listed as their correspondence language. Families can reply in any language and the message will be translated into English for the school.
If families prefer to not receive text messages from TalkingPoints, they can reply with "GOODBYE" at any time.
